Ineos Shale claim to listen to the communities where they want to frack but despite 90+% disapproval and less than 1% in favour in our village plus two planning refusals from the Borough Council they are pressing on with their drilling application in Woodsetts.

This means a small community faces a large corporation and its multi billion-pound owner at a public inquiry. Please help to fund the best possible case against Ineos which means paying for a professional legal team and a team of experts. Your help doesn't mean we won't put our own time and cash on the line - WAF are a team of volunteers who formed in August 2017 and in less than two years have twice defeated Ineos at local government level.

We're carrying on that fight and we have raised cash, recruited a legal team while continuing to work on aspects of the case which we will present ourselves at inquiry.

It is right that we should put our time and effort in - our village, our problem - why are we asking for help outside the village?

This is a key case - the tide is turning against fracking and a refusal at this public inquiry will be hugely damaging to the fracking industry. 

Fracking investors are already considering their position - this is our chance to send a message to them - get your money and machinery out of this business.

How much are we raising and why?

Initially, we are raising £10,000 to cover the costs of our legal representation - essential; at this level. If we can achieve another £2,000 then we can secure high-level legal representation throughout the inquiry.
