I am taking Legal action against an industry giant in Banking, to show that no one should be treated like criminal if any acts of discrimination is brought to the attention of management.

Who am I? - I am crowdfunding to continue my Legal case against an industry giant in Banking, to show that no one should be treated like criminal if any acts of discrimination is brought to the attention of management. A workplace should be safe for all regardless of Sex, Race, Religion, sexual orientation/ belief, and other   protected characteristics.

My employer is a multi-billion pound and multi- national investment/Finance company with dedicated human resources department. I witnessed people being forced out of their employment when they dare complain of laxity in the system and procedure in place.

I was thrown out of the employers’ premises after raising complaints of laxity in their internal procedure which anyone with ulterior motive could then use for their own personal gains.

I made series of complaints (discrimination, harassment, and victimisation) which my line manager/ management failed to deal with. I requested to be moved to another team to escape the mistreatment reported ( and as a safe passage to exit the company ) and the perpetrators including my line manager, but the Management was biased right from the onset that my complaint is not a true representation of that individual he had known for over a decade.

I was just called into an unscheduled meeting and thrown out of the premises. I was chased down the public road by the directors and their security guard with reason to conduct a search that I may be in procession of their confidential information; this was in reality to prevent me from bringing this claim against them.

This has caused me and my family distress not only for losing my job, but also in the manner I was treated like a criminal. I have now been diagnosed with PTSD  and regularly having flashback on the incident of that dreadful day.

Summary -  I made complaint to the employer’s regulator, which is currently being investigated, but I need to pursue the case via the employment tribunal. I was treated in the manner they did as they try to prevent me from taking any documentary evidence to bring any litigation against them. Unbeknown to the employer I have cogent evidence to support my claim.

Call to action - I am raising £7,000 to progress the case. The case is at the Preliminary stage at the Employment Tribunal. I am up against a multi-billion-pound company, but with your support (any amount), I believe together we can take them on to put a stop to these long-standing practices at the company.

What are we trying to achieve? - I witnessed people suffered chronic depression for same treatment, someone you and I know might end up taking up employment with this company in the future. In the end some people paid the price for the freedom we have in this great nation today. I believe the opposite of poverty is Justice; I want justice for myself and others still working there and those to come.

What is the next step in the case? - The case is progressing well at the Employment Tribunal at the Preliminary stage. I shall require  advocacy representation with your support.

How much we are raising and why? -  as the case is already progressing, I shall be glad if you could support in raising the initial target of £7,000.

Please also help share as much as possible as this I believe is equally as any pledge you might make no matter how small.

Many thanks for reading my story and in advance for your support!!!
