My Name is Anika but many of you know me as Ani says. I am an activist, independent journalist and content creator.

I am currently facing trial alongside 7 others who have been charged with an archaic Trade Union Law of Besetting a work place in relation to protesting Gal Gadot and the filming of the movie The runner.

I am initially crowd funding for my more immediate costs as the case has gone to plea hearing where it was adjourned to return in November. 

For transparency I will only update the amount needed when we have more information on the court date and length of trial and will crowd fund accordingly. 

For nearly two years, we have all watched a genocide unfold in front of our eyes — livestreamed for the world to see, hear and feel. Children pulled from the rubble, families forcefully starved, hospitals bombed — and yet those in power have chosen to stayed silent.

While governments turned their backs, ordinary people stood up. We protested, we spoke out, we demanded justice — using the rights that are supposed to exist in any democracy.

And for that, people like me are being dragged into courtrooms. My so-called “crime” is refusing to be silent while others manufacture consent for the mass murder of Palestinians. How can this ever be seen as a crime?

This isn’t just about me. It’s about the right to protest, the right to speak truth to power, and the right to stand against genocide without fear of persecution.

They can try to intimidate us, but they will not break us. Because our conscience is stronger than their repression, and our solidarity is louder than their silence.

We stand with Gaza. We stand with Palestine. And no matter what they do — we will never be silent.
