I am Mark Keir.  I have been campaigning against HS2 for too many years. 

I want to raise £1500 for Paul Powlesland, my barrister. Paul is instructed by myself and Sarah Green in an injunction case brought by HS2.

The case will be heard in the High Court, Business and Property courts, 7 Rolls Buildings, Fetter Lane, EC4. at 10.30am Monday 13th May 2019

HS2, a government owned corporation are destroying vast tracts of land from Euston to Manchester. Nothing is sacred. Ancient churches and their grave yards, homes, communities, towns and villages, motorways and railways are all being bulldozed to make way for this monster. 

And our environment, much of it very precious, fragile and rare is being ripped apart everywhere.  In the Colne Valley alone, within the boundaries of London HS2 have already started destroying 3 nature reserves, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, 370 acres of woodland, 60 acres of wetland, rivers, lakes, farms and homes in 'enabling works' despite the project itself being put on hold by the government to investigate the finances.  (This project might not even go ahead!) Those woodlands and wetlands are far and away London's most dazzling ecosystems and are home to over 2400 species. Otter, water vole, 13 species of bat, eel, 120 species nesting birds (even Osprey migrate through here), glow worms and countless dragonfly, butterfly and other insects call this home. 

And below ground, the Mid Chiltern Aquifer which supplies 3.2million people with cheap clean drinking water is threatened by HS2 in a most cavalier way.

HS2 promises a 'green corridor'. Thus far they have planted 50000 trees that died a couple months later, have scraped away part of a wetland nature reserve to create a mitigation site for loss of wetland elsewhere and cut down 2000 trees in early April claiming their ecologist saw no bird nesting activity.

I don't trust them. Nor does Sarah Green. Nor do many others.

And because we make this clear, they are taking me and Sarah to the High Court for breaking an injunction (for which we could lose all our assets and face 6 years in prison) and impose a new one to keep us and our friends quiet.

We need money to fight this. We need money to ensure our honesty and integrity, our truth, continue to shine. We need this because HS2 MUST be stopped.

Money raised will go towards our legal expenses, High Court cases don't come cheap.
