Legal action against the proposed closure by HFT without consultation, of the vulnerable adult housing facility at Furlong Close, Rowde, Wiltshire.
We are raising funds to facilitate the necessary legal action to stop the inhumane closure and subsequent re-housing of the vulnerable residents away from their long established friendship groups, excellent familiar staff and secure environment.
We are fighting to have the decision to close withdrawn so that the residents can continue to live in a friendly, familiar and safe environment.
We are looking to achieve stability and security for vulnerable people who aren’t able to fight their own corner and have been totally disregarded by both HFT and Wiltshire Council.
Our next ambition is to hold HFT and Wiltshire Council to account and have the decision overturned and ensure the status quo,
We estimate we will need in the region of £2000 to instruct a specialised human rights lawyer to fight our case.

This has enabled us to get an opinion from a barrister confirming that the prospects of our succeeding in legal action against Hft in preventing the eviction of Katie and her friends are good, which should enable us to get legal aid for her and commence proceedings early next year. Good news on a cold, wet Sunday!
Update for Day 2! Amazing! Thanks to a huge show of generosity we are fast approaching our initial target, and then will be able to launch our stretch target.
