My name is Karen Wrigley I am crowdfunding for my friend Dion Taljard on behalf of a group of friends and family from his local town, who know Dion is innocent.

I am Karen Wrigley, a friend of Dion Taljard who was convicted of a number of offences in August 2017 and was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Dion has now lodged an application for leave to Appeal against sentence and conviction and hopes to be able to rely on fresh evidence that supports his case.

Now, with the assistance of a new legal teamworking on his appeal, these important issues have been examined and Dion believes that he has a real chance of being successful in his application for permission to appeal his convictionand sentence.

Dion has lodged an application with the Court of Appeal for permission to appeal his conviction andsentence, and he is awaiting a hearing date.

So far, Dion has had tremendous support and has raised considerable funds to pay the costs of his appeal, without any help from the system. However, unfortunate delays have used up the money raised and further fund raising is required.

We are now seeking to raise over £10,000 to cover some costs incurred to date and future costs for the final hearing, which will hopefully take place in the near future.

Dion has been reliant upon the goodwill of his many friends and family in his appeal and is indebted to them.  We are now hoping for further financial assistance from others so that Dion can,at last, get a fair trial.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. We would be most grateful if you could help.
