JCWI provides life-changing legal and practical support for people impacted by the UK government's hostile immigration policies. We desperately need your help to continue this work.

The government's new seven-day eviction policy for refugees is pushing vulnerable people towards homelessness this winter. JCWI is fighting against this – join us!

This holiday season, some will find themselves on the cold streets, victims of a crisis fuelled by those in power who, instead of helping, are demonising the very people they should be protecting.

Imagine coming to the UK in search of a better life or fleeing from unimaginable horror, only to find yourself, with only £40 each week to survive and the government forcing you from detention centres - to barges or to cramped accommodation.

Now, imagine after years of making your case to the Home Office, you finally get good news! You have been granted refugee status and you now have the right to stay and get on with your dreams..

But, right then, you’re handed a seven days' notice to move out. The government seems to think that after having no right to earn a living while waiting for their decision, you will now be able to find a job and the money to afford a place to live, in just a week’s time!

The reality is: people are being forced onto the streets by the UK government.

They don't treat us like humans they moved us around like robots - Ria, JCWI Client

Our lawyers are doing everything in their power to stop clients and their families from becoming homeless and have already been successful in stopping families from ending up on the streets this winter.

With your support, we managed to help provide emergency shelter for migrants in need, and our dedicated legal team champions the rights of clients facing evictions or difficulties in detention fighting discriminatory and complicated cases for them.

As the government forces through more cruel policies and more schemes designed to make the lives of migrants extremely hard, our commitment to helping those in crisis is more crucial than ever, and your support serves as a lifeline for those fighting against despair and helplessness.

I was so stressed, I was going to be homeless, JCWI helped me to find emergency accommodation. - Ria, JCWI Client

Today, we invite you to join our cause and take action!

£10 can provide three meals for a family of three in temporary accommodation.

£35 can fund an hour of life-changing legal advice to keep families together.

£50 can provide one baby kit to a mother in asylum accommodation.

£100 can cover groceries for a family in shared housing for a month.

£200 can help us offer emergency accommodation in a secure, safe, and clean place for those at risk of homelessness.

We are a people-driven movement, and we punch above our weight relying on your compassion and generosity. But funds are running low. Your contribution can make a difference, save lives, and restore dignity to those seeking refuge and making this country home.
