Who am I?

My name is Peter Bolton. I'm a US-based freelance contributor to The Canary, an online progressive publication that consistently punches above its weight with hard-hitting news and analysis that hold the powerful to account. I have written extensively about the conflict in Palestine and the impact of the Israel lobby on American and British politics. Summary

For years, I and others around the world have been targeted by a well-funded army of Zionist trolls for speaking objectively about Israel’s human rights violations and war crimes against the Palestinian people. In the UK, innocent people have lost their jobs or academic posts, faced ongoing harassment, and even committed suicide. In the US, meanwhile, progressive congressional candidates Nina Turner and Summer Lee were smeared by a pro-Israel PAC using millions in dark money, merely for suggesting that Washington put conditions on the billions in military aid it gives to Israel. 

Often, these trolls conceal their identities behind a cowardly cloak of anonymity while launching precision attacks across multiple anonymous social media accounts. Their favored tool is the tried and trusted Zionist tactic of hurling the bogus accusation that those of us who criticize Israel must be motivated by antisemitism. As a result, they have destroyed lives, careers, reputations – with no accountability.  

After a recent smear by a particularly aggressive and malicious troll, I decided enough is enough and hired a law firm to fight back. I’m currently involved in a legal case which will hopefully hold them to account. This case could serve as an important bellwether and, for this reason, other victims who have been similarly targeted are actively supporting my case. A victorious outcome would deliver a body blow to the Zionist propaganda machine and make its army of trolls think twice before launching their next attack.

Call to action

At this moment, my legal team is on the cusp of exposing who operates the Twitter account that defamed me – the first step on the path to justice – and I’m now asking for your support to press forward with the case. This is a David vs. Goliath battle. It will take substantial resources and determination to win. Please contribute whatever you can.
