Who am I? 

My name is Devon Canady and I am a former boxer. I have competed representing the United States in several international boxing tournaments, most notable the Women's World Championships in Turkey 2001. Now, I am the Executive Director of EIR Urban Youth Boxing Club and owner of Devonne Canady ” Boss Lady” Promotions. I support boxers from all over the world by providing proper training, financial support and commitment to allow them to fulfil their dreams. 

What is the legal challenge? 

Mr. Rudolph Hedge a native of Montego Bay Jamaica and I have become acquainted over several months. Mr. Hedge would like to join my company for further training and possible competition throughout the United States. I am raising money to support the legal costs of paying for Mr Hedge to be able to come to the United States. 

How much are we raising and why?  

The immigration application alone is hundreds of dollars and we need to provide legal support to Mr Hedges to make his application successful. We are raising an initial target amount of $2960 to pay for the immigration application and legal support to process the application. 

Why should you support this case? 

Mr. Hedge has expressed his desire to come to Connecticut to take advantage of the many opportunities available to boxers in USA which are not readily available in Jamaica. Boxers like Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali and several other notable boxers have competed in popular venues throughout the USA. Some of the most competitive boxing events take place in the United States. Our goal is to afford the same opportunities to our foreign counterparts compared to the elite boxers based in the USA. In order to become successful you must be given a platform to perform before fans. Mr. Hedge and many boxers abroad would not get this great opportunity if not for organizations like Boss Lady Promotions.
