Quantrell Cody was sentenced to serve one hundred ninety-five (195) years in prison 30 years ago for a crime he did not commit. He could not afford legal counsel, and his inexperienced public defender was no match to an overzealous prosecutor and the statements charged against him by the alleged victim.

Quantrell admits he was not a perfect young adult; and as a matter of fact, he fit the profile of the perfect bad guy. One problem, he did not commit the crimes that he was accused.

I met Quantrell Cody through a close friend of mine. When I learned this man's woeful tale of legal struggle, I was morally compelled to help him. 

The goal of this campaign is to raise $8,000 for Quantrell's attorney's fees for the habeas corpus proceedings -- used as a protection against illegal imprisonment. Quantrell is represented by Missouri lawyer Kent Gipson, who specializes in the complex area of post-conviction litigation. In his 30 year career, he has a long list of successes and notable cases.

While battling his ongoing depression, during his multi-decade incarceration, Quantrell has earned college degrees, learned a foreign language, and written several books/ screenplays, has helped many inmates who were released turn their life around, and has gain the respect of numerous correctional officers.

Quantrell is now in his late 50's and does not want to die in prison. Support our case and show that you will not stand for injustice.
