My name is Karen Mills, a mother of two girls and I have worked in the aviation industry and been a trade union member for 32 years.

I don’t need to tell anyone that Blacklisting can ruin lives and can take many forms.

When you realise it’s happening to you the first people you turn to are your trade union but in my case it is the Union Branch itself that are behind the blacklisting.

Just because I’ve asked inconvenient awkward questions my own trade union has removed access to union services from me and started a campaign of bullying and harassing by distributing several newsletters to 9,000 members and working colleagues purposely misinforming them with untruths.

Twitter was also used by the Union to enable a bigger platform of harassment and proudly naming those blacklisted.

I am not the only one and I ’m not just sitting back and letting it happen. I’m now on the union’s blacklist and I know that this information is also being shared with my employer.

Many others have suffered before me because of this but I am just one person in a long line of trade union members who need help to make sure that this stops and can never happen again.

I had the latest in a series of court appearances on 23 April 2018. The union has previously employed a QC to fight me but I have successfully represented myself. This time I wanted to even the playing field. I employed a barrister, Mr Dravin Bheemha of New Walk Chambers.  If I win it will put a stop to this behaviour and open the way for others to follow.

To do this I need your help by organising crowd funding to pay for the legal services I can’t possibly afford on my own and as a layman would never have the chance of fighting against an establishment with deep pockets.

I would be grateful if you are willing to contribute to a cause that could possibly benefit everyone that has been blacklisted and stop any more in the future that can potentially ruins lives.

Many Thanks

Karen Mills
