Defending My Name: Fighting a False Gross Misconduct Dismissal

Employment Tribunal Case No. 6014619/2025

Hearing Date: January 2026

My name is Mohammad I I Dahlan, a British Palestinian teacher who's career has been in education, creativity, and empowering young people.

In December 2024, I was dismissed for gross misconduct after being targeted in a campaign of malicious doxxing linked to my peaceful expressions of grief and solidarity for Gaza. These expressions, shared on my personal social media, were entirely lawful—but were weaponised against me to silence my voice and cost me my career.

-⚖️ What’s Happened So Far Appeal Denied: I appealed the dismissal, but the school rejected my case without engaging fully with the evidence.

Police Interview: I was interviewed by the Counter-Terrorism Police. Thanks to legal support, I was fully cleared without further action.

Tribunal Initiated: I have now submitted my case to the Employment Tribunal, where I will challenge the legality and fairness of the dismissal.

Hearing Scheduled for January 2026.

This is not just about employment—this is about freedom of expression, protection from discrimination, and the right to a fair process.

💸 Where Funds Will Go

Thanks to your generosity, I’ve raised just over £4,000, which helped cover:

Legal consultation and case review

Preparing submissions and attending the internal appeal

Representation during the police interview

Now, I urgently need to raise £12,000 to support the next phase: the Employment Tribunal.

If the case progresses beyond this stage, total legal costs could reach £40,000. Any additional funds will be used transparently to:

✔ Fund further legal proceedings and appeals

✔ Raise awareness about wrongful dismissals

✔ Support legal efforts to protect civil liberties and workplace rights

🙌 How You Can Help

This legal battle is bigger than just me—it affects everyone who risks losing their career for speaking out.

Here’s how you can support:

1️⃣ Donate – Every pound helps keep this case alive

2️⃣ Share – Spread the campaign with friends, family, and networks

3️⃣ Speak Out – Help raise awareness about the wider issues at stake

Your support means the world to me. Together, we can challenge injustice, protect the right to speak up, and ensure no one is silenced or wrongfully labelled for standing up for what is right.

Thank you.
