My name is David Harrison, and I am the father of Courtney Harrison, who tragically passed away on 10th August 2025, aged just 22.

Courtney was diagnosed with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) and later Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD). Despite her struggles, she was bright, creative, and deeply loved. She shared her story openly, reaching millions of people on TikTok, and touched countless lives with her honesty and courage.

Courtney’s death has left a devastating hole in our lives. Her inquest will not only look at what happened to her, but also ask whether failings in her care and treatment contributed to her death. With the support of my solicitors, we are seeking for it to be heard as an Article 2 inquest, meaning the full circumstances can be properly examined.

Why we’re fundraising (and how funds will be used)

We do not yet know the full cost of this legal process, but we do know it will be significant. Every donation will go towards legal representation, expert evidence, and preparation for the inquest.

If Article 2 is confirmed: my understanding is that public funding (legal aid) should then be available for our legal representation. If that happens, your donations will:

Be used to pursue Courtney’s own unanswered questions from her diary if they fall outside the inquest’s scope (for example, follow-up legal steps, complaints to regulators, or independent expert reviews).

If Article 2 is not confirmed: your support will fund our legal team to ensure Courtney still has a strong voice at the inquest and beyond.

We will update supporters and keep spending transparent. Any outstanding funds after the legal process will be donated in line with CrowdJustice's Unused Funds Policy.

Courtney’s questions

Courtney set out specific questions in her diary that she wanted answered. If the coroner’s scope does not cover all of them, we will use this fund to continue that search for answers so that Courtney’s voice is heard in full, not just in part.

We have a date - inquest confirmed for 2027

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and kept Courtney's memory alive. We read every message and it means more than we can say.

The legal process has been moving forward. We have instructed specialist solicitors who are working with us to prepare for the inquest. In June 2026 we secured an important procedural outcome. A hearing has been adjourned to allow the case to be properly prepared, with the right scope and the right level of scrutiny. A barrister is now being briefed and a Legal Aid application is in progress.

We are preparing for a full inquest expected in 2027. We cannot share details of the legal arguments at this stage, but we can say that we are fighting for the inquest to examine the full circumstances of what happened to Courtney. Not just the events of that night, but everything that led to them.

Courtney asked questions in her diary that she never got to have answered. We intend to make sure they are heard.

Please keep sharing this page. Every donation and every share helps us give Courtney the voice she deserved.

Dog Walk in Memory of Courtney

🐾 We’re holding a simple dog walk in Courtney’s memory on Saturday 25th October, and everyone is welcome to join us. 🐾

📍 Meeting Point: Opposite Crosby Beach Lifeguard Station (Burbo Bank Car Park)

🕒 Saturday 25th October — Gather from 2:45pm for a 3:00pm start

We warmly invite friends, family, clients, and their dogs to join us for a special walk in memory of Courtney — to celebrate the love she had for all the dogs she cared for.

We’ll meet opposite the Lifeguard Station by the car park, then walk together along the promenade towards Crosby Leisure Centre and back. The total distance is around 4 km (2.5 miles) at a gentle pace.

The route is flat and paved, making it suitable for all ages and dogs. There are public toilets and parking next to the meeting point.

Please dress for the weather — we’ll walk unless conditions are severe. There’s no formal structure, just a simple opportunity to walk, remember Courtney, and share time together.
