Emily successfully crowdfunded her campaign last year and here is her top tip:

Work out who is most likely to support your campaign and then write your case page to appeal to them!

Crowdfunding is all about telling the story of your case: why you care, why others should care, and the impact if you win.

Before you can tell the story well, you have to work out who you’re telling the story to! Who will pledge to your crowdfunding campaign? Who else cares about this issue? Which friends, family members, neighbours and colleagues will support the case? Are there organizations or networks that will support you?

Once you’ve worked out who your ‘crowd’ will be then keep them in mind as you write your case page. Think about what would make them most likely to pledge!
