Who am I?

I am a 25 year-old British man born in Zimbabwe man and I work in property. I am about to become a father for the first time and what should have been a joyous time in my life has become one of the worst.

Background

A family member of mine was browsing the internet on a Saturday and I received a very distressed call telling me that I had been seriously defamed. It’s so bad, I can’t repeat it on here but it made me physically sick and undermined every value I stand by. I had been criminalised.

Vanessa Warwick and Property Tribes trying to ruin my life and career

Vanessa Warwick, who is co-founder and Community Manager of Property Tribes published  defamatory material about me which she embellished and made so ruinous that I may never recover. She did not attempt to contact me to verify any aspect of the information she had been given. She not only blindly repeated defamatory material, but she made it much worse.

Vanessa Warwick's replies were callous and scathing

I contacted Ms Warwick on 3 occasions to ask that she publicly withdraw her comments, publicly apologise and provide compensation for the damage she has caused on her very public forum (65,000 members). The effects of her publications have already directly affected me financially. Ms Warwick’s replies to me were callous, scathing and given she didn't know me, was quick to stereotype without question.

Vanessa Warwick has form for defamation and harassment

Ms Warwick has done this before and is currently being sued for a six-figure sum. She does not appear to have learned her lesson. She cannot use her platform to defame people without consequence.

Vanessa Warwick may also have committed criminal offences

In my opinion, her communications may be malicious under the Malicious Communications Act and she may have conspired in an investor’s attempts to blackmail me into paying money.

Vanessa Warwick has shown no remorse

I just want to get on with my life, run a good business to provide for my newborn, without having to face the extreme anxiety and embarrassment amongst my family, my peers, my church and any potential business associate, caused by Ms Warwick’s devastating and wildly untrue publications, for which she has taken no responsibility and shown no remorse.

No choice but to seek legal redress - will need £5,000

Unfortunately, my efforts to clear my name and be exonerated by Vanessa Warwick have fallen on deaf ears and I have no choice but to seek advice from solicitors, both civil and criminal solicitors. I anticipate that I'll need £5,000 to send the letter before claim, which she'll blindly defend, and then to have the pleadings drafted to clear my name, as well as obtain advice on the criminal route. I may need more in future, but that would be a good start.
