Legal action required NOW

The situation in Myanmar has gone from bad to worse. Approaching half a million Rohingya have fled the recent atrocities that have been condemned around the world as ethnic cleansing and genocide.

There has been widespread international horror at the situation. Over 400,000 people have already signed our petition to stop the genocide in Myanmar and pledging support to take Aung San Suu Kyi and the Chief General to international court.

World leaders have weighed in with Nobel Laureate Desmond Tutu saying to Aung San Suu Kyi: “If the political price of your ascension to the highest office in Myanmar is your silence, the price is surely too steep.”

What do we want to achieve?

It will be a long, complex legal journey to get justice for the thousands that have perished and the hundreds of thousands traumatised and displaced. It will also cost a considerable amount of money.

Ultimately we have three legal objectives:

(i) Produce written complaints to show that Myanmar is in violation of multiple international treaties

(ii) Seek to support the setting up of an International Commission of Inquiry as already called for by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

(iii) Establish whether the International Criminal Court has jurisdiction to carry out a preliminary examination.

Why do we need money now?

With your support we can instruct our legal team to begin phase 1 of the process of holding those responsible to account in international court.

In Phase 1 of the legal process our lawyers will:

(i) Begin investigations on the ground in Bangladesh with those displaced Rohingya, gathering first-hand accounts

(ii) Explore all potential legal avenues including establishing which actors have performed the alleged acts of violence and which countries they come from.

(iii) Gather evidence from existing United Nations reporting.

Congratulations !

Asalamu Aleykum !

To our brothers and sisters.

We have managed to reach our target, phase 1 and now we are able to activate The Case process and development. Our lawyers are currently working hard to establish facts and not to duplicate.

We sincerely apologise for not being in touch with you and keeping you updated, but literally  the funds has cleared not long ago and we also have received our client's case letter folder which you can upload it from our website www.muminbeliever.com

Unfortunately some pledges has failed to process but we hope that you re-pledge on our second phase.

Keep praying for our Myanmar Brothers/Sisters as this is the only thing we can do at this current time but lets also pray that this case will be successful.

Thank you

Your Sincerely

Najma&Hussein

Please help us reach our target

So far we received £15,000 alhamdulilah to your generosity but we need an extra £5000 for the lawyers to start the Case against Aung Saan Suu Kyi. As they asked for £20,000 but our target hasn't reached there yet and if it doesn't then the lawyers won't take this case on and crowdjustice will just send your money back.

Without your help it would have been impossible to hire an international lawyer to try to take Aung Saan Suu Kyi to International Criminal Court.

Therefore as we so much want this proceedings to happen, please let's make this happen.

Please make this possible and donate as much as you can so we can reach our target - If everyone gave £1 we would smash our target and be well on the way to holding the leaders of Myanmar to account.

Please donate and share the link to the case page on your FaceBook: www.crowdjustice.com/case/justice-for-rohingya

Thank you so much,

Hussein and Najma
