My names is Katie and I'm Tim's sister. I'm writing this page on behalf of my Mum and my siblings.

In August 2016 my brother Tim tragically took his own life in Mental Health Supported Housing. His death was a preventable suicide due to failings in care.

My family just want answers as to why he was sadly failed. In the week leading to his death he desperately pleaded for help and reached out to those who were supposed to be supporting him with his Mental Health Care. Please help us get answers by contributing what you can now and most importantly share this page with your friends and family

For the last two years we’ve fought for answers about what happened. We thought at his Inquest we’d find out what happened and changes would be made as a result. But nothing has happened.

We know Tims death wasn’t the first and won’t be the last and sadly too many life’s are been lost too many people are falling through the cracks.

The Tim we knew him as the Fun, outgoing, loveable person we knew he was the person who always was their for us the person who got us through our darkest days.

Timothy just wanted his life back to be free from the worries, anxieties and free of the depression that had a grip on him, he wanted a place to call home, he wanted to work again be part of society most importantly he wanted to be Tim again.

Why do we need to raise funds?

Last week sadly my family at the penultimate hour had our Legal Aid funding pulled because Timothy’s inquest is not an Article 2 inquest.

We did fight for it to be Article 2 and we even took it to Judicial Review but the judge did not overturn it because we’d been granted a Jury based inquest and that has similar scope to an Article 2 inquest.

We appealed the legal aid decision but too no avail due to cuts in legal aid funding we could not get them to change their mind.

My family have thought tirelessly to get answers.

How much are we raising?

We’ve worked with the Solicitor’s representing us and the Barrister to put together a good case and have a shot at my family getting the answers. We can’t face the inquest alone unrepresented we need them fighting our corner.

Those that failed Tim will be legally represented by the state. We know need your help we know need to raise £5000 for our legal fees to be represented. Please help us know in our fight we can’t do it alone for Timothy and all the other lives lost due to failings in Mental Health Care please support us. It is time that changes were made if we can get #answers4tim we have a chance for fighting for change.

My family too need to mourn Tims death remember him for the person he was and not be tormented by how he died.

Please help us and Thank You

Timothy Mccomb you’ll always be with us and we’ll always be proud of you and we loved you too x x your family we miss you, you were taken too soon. X
